The Latest In Cosmetic
Surgery
 It's not
just for movie stars anymore! Oprah talks with experts
about the latest techniques from face-lifts and
liposuction to breast implants and reductions, and even,
surgery on our private areas! Teenage girls - even men -
are going under the knife, too.
Getting Rid of Those
Ripples Endermologie is a new FDA-approved
procedure that may help get rid of cellulite. It works
by creating a skin fold that softens the connective
tissue, moving out tissue fluids.

demonstration. |

The
results of endermologie can be pretty dramatic as
pictured here. But Dr. Tina Alster stresses that
this patient was probably on a weight loss
program, too. |
Men in the
Mirror In a 1999 survey, 71% of men say
they would not be embarrassed to get cosmetic surgery.
Men are getting tummy tucks, breast reductions and even
their butts enlarged. The most popular procedure for
men: Liposuction.
 |
Calve implants (pictured here) and butt
implants are popular,
too.

Teens on the
Table The number of teens undergoing
cosmetic surgery has doubled since 1992. More than
24,000 American teenagers had cosmetic surgery last
year, according to The American Society of Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgeons. Topping the list: nose jobs,
ear pinning and breast augmentation.
